Erin Helcl is a human-centered design leader with over 20 years of experience in service design, experience strategy, and organizational transformation. She is the founder of New Helio, a consultancy that helps teams design better services and work more effectively together. Erin has led award-winning initiatives across telecom, finance, and government, and teaches service design at the University of Toronto. Known for her clear thinking and collaborative approach, she helps organizations align on what matters, solve complex problems, and build the conditions for meaningful progress—both in how they serve people and how they operate internally.

I help organizations design better services—and better ways of working—by putting people at the center of strategy, decision-making, and change.With over two decades of experience across industries like telecom, finance, and government, I’ve led award-winning customer and employee experience programs, digital transformations, and leadership development initiatives. I work as freelance project manager for international organisations(EU, UN).As a result of my passion for Service Design, I’ve developed a parallel career in this field, to either run service design projects or enrich my practice as a project manager.
