I'm a UX researcher who’s navigated several career pivots (graphic design, brand strategy, service design, product design) by blending creativity with analytical thinking. I love doing impactful, pragmatic research that balances speed with rigour. I'd love to chat about career transition ideas, improve UX research craft, design leadership, and how to communicate creatively and effectively.Born in Malaysia, grew up in New Zealand, and now living in London, UK.
My career started in graphic design and advertising, but I’ve also studied art history and worked as a brand strategist and innovation consultant before moving into UX. I was a product designer for a bit before I officially pivoted to UX research. I thrive on using both logic and intuition to help people make good decisions. I'm in my happy place when I combine my strategy, design, and writing skills all at once.I’m passionate about the craft of UX research, so I’m naturally drawn towards rigour and detail. But there’s definitely a balance to be mindful of, so I’ve been enjoying the challenge of taking a more pragmatic approach to cut through the noise at work and maximise impact.I’m open to providing fractional consulting and coaching. My current interests are mentoring career switchers, re-thinking the role of an insights function in business, and fashion forecasting.
