Now, I am your host, Jerry s Scalian, a designer and educator based in Ireland, who works a hundred percent online training organizations about user.

[00:01:04] Gerry Scullion: What interest me most though these days is what I learned in school really had nothing to do with what I studied in university and what I studied in university really has nothing to do with what I do for a living. In fact, I think at this stage I've probably had three or four careers and I've constantly iterated my way through my own life.

[00:01:26] Gerry Scullion: Now, without knowing it, I've used the designer's mindset to work and improve how I live my life now. This podcast is gonna be really raw and it's gonna include interviews with other designers and creatives in the field, and how they educate their children about setting them up for the future. We'll talk about early childhood development and we'll cover off activities to try out at home.

[00:01:48] Gerry Scullion: We'll talk about primary education and the role they have for setting students and children up for the future, and also talk about the journey of launching the Makers doers.school, my new Business to the World. Questions [00:02:00] I want to answer on the podcast is, what role does education have in generating the next generation of problem solvers or lateral?

[00:02:08] Gerry Scullion: What can we do to help equip the next generation to be better placed, to test new ideas, to be able to research and to understand other perspectives of diverse backgrounds, to really learn and get comfortable with that uncertainty. As we all know, life and the world has been through an awful lot in the last number of years, but what got us.

[00:02:29] Gerry Scullion: Won't get us there in the future. We need new ways of thinking and that is essentially what we're gonna be just sourcing in this podcast. So my new business makers and tours.school will be focused on doing something a little different little, provide real world classes for children, ages six to 10, and also provides stimulating learning content to the parents and guardians.

I [00:03:00] really have no idea where the business will go, but I will iterate and design the business from the ground up. I'll share the updates as I go through this podcast.
