Oliver Weidlich has specialised in User Experience for the last 25 years and consulted to some of the worlds largest companies, and smallest start-ups.
He has first hand experience researching and designing novel interfaces across mobile, wearable, smart home, in-car, spatial computing, kiosk, intelligent agents etc. He has explored novel input and output types including light signalling, haptics, 3D volumetric, touch, eye gaze, gestures etc.
Oliver is an invited speaker and mentor around the world and over the last 18 months has spoken/mentored in Beijing, Shanghai, Boston (at MIT), Singapore, Tokyo, and London. He has just returned from Amsterdam, where he was working with a Global Innovation team for a major brand.
On the academic side, he has taught Interface Design at the University of Sydney for over 10 years and has an Adjunct Senior Lecturer position. He has also co-authored academic journal articles on augmented reality and spatial computing. Further, he is an Industry Mentor at the University of Technology Sydney for their Apple Foundation Program for both visionOS (spatial computing) and iOS (mobile).
