Suzanne Pflaum

Suzanne designs and facilitates cross-functional strategic planning and innovation, team and capacity building, and leadership and personal development. With deep experience in community-centered design, she brings an inclusive and values-focused approach to facilitation of groups large and small. Leveraging the intelligence of the people closest to the challenge, she has helped global retailers to innovate their membership program for deeper engagement. She has convened new and growing teams to transform the way they work and build strategic alignment for maximum effectiveness. Most recently she has been supporting leaders in climate change adaptation and mitigation to collaborate for faster and deeper impact. Whether with local government bodies of the PNW or global philanthropies, Suzanne weaves together expert knowledge of multi-stakeholder engagement, inclusive design-thinking, and organizational change. Additional, I have used HCD to: - Convene 100+ leaders across an industry to strategize their future together over three intensive days in-person - Lead community research and redesign the structure for an industry alliance organization - Design the governance structure for newly-launched philanthropic collaboration - Lead the design of a community engagement strategy for global sustainable furniture retailer - Design and facilitate leadership retreat for cross-functional executive teams within local and state government - Design and implement the decision-making process for and facilitation of a 45-person steering committee to transform a local criminal justice system - Regularly design and facilitate annual strategic planning and team retreats for several programmatic teams within state and local government
